How to Request an Appointment

Please include the following information in your email:

  1. What’s the subject matter of your tattoo?

  2. What part of the body would you like your tattoo on?

  3. How big, or how much space would you like it to take up?

  4. Do you prefer color or black and grey?

If you have photo references, it’s helpful to send them as well. They might include examples of style, placement or subject matter. If there’re other pre-existing tattoos that’ll be in close proximity to the new tattoo, it’s helpful to include photos of that area as well. Starting with this information will help me to streamline the process. Depending on my schedule, I may get back to you right away, or it could take me a few days. I give careful consideration to each new client and project and I thank you for your patience.

Consultations are complementary, but before I can finalize any tattoo appointment, I require a deposit of $100.00. This deposit holds your appointment time and date and is fully refundable provided you give me at least 48-hours notice if you need to cancel or reschedule. Your deposit gets applied to the cost of your tattoo when you get it, or if you need multiple appointments, it will be applied at your last appointment.

FAQs

What happens after I email you, Melissa?

After we discuss your ideas, I decide if it’s a good fit to work together. If it is, I’ll book your appointment(s) and look so forward to seeing you!

Do I need an in-person consult?

That depends on many factors and on the specific tattoo you’re looking to get. I’ll be able to determine this based on what your initial appointment request email is.

Will I see a drawing before I come in for my appointment?

When I draw your tattoo, I’ll draw it based on what we’ve discussed, and the references you’ve provided. It’s helpful to be specific when necessary. I’ll do my best to meet all of your expectations. When you come to your tattoo appointment, I’ll have your design prepared and ready to be tattooed. If there’re any edits that need to be made, I can either make them for you while you wait, or we can reschedule for another date.

How much will it cost?

My hourly rate is $220. The shop minimum is $100. Not all tattoos are priced hourly. The hourly rate is generally applied to large tattoos, and tattoos that take multiple sessions. Other pricing is determined by size, detail, and location. I can provide a ballpark estimate when requested. If you have a specific budget, it’s helpful to let me know in advance.
